February Ministry Update

Hey friends,

I wanted to start by saying thank you to all of you for your prayers leading up to Winter Camp. The event was a huge success. It was so meaningful to our students to be able to hear our guest speakers, Geoff and Jessica M. (pictured below), from Western Washington, come and talk on the topic of "Send Me". Our students left with hearts on fire for God's work on the college campuses, and with many new friendships within our community.

Geoff and Jessica from Western Washington University

Something I thought to be really meaningful from their messages is that to be a disciple of God, you have to take responsibility for the faith journey of the people around us. In connection with that we talked about relationships, communications, and how living as sent ones doesn't happen by accident. If we don't tell others about why we do what we do then they praise us over Jesus. Jesus did not just come to live well, He connected his compassion with the God from which it came from, and as such we should be able to imitate Him. Living as "sent ones" means realizing that your mission field is where your feet are.

Take the time to listen to Geoff and Jessica's sermons and hear more on what it means to live as a "sent one". Here is a link to their sermons.

The Richland Crew!

Here's a video that captures a glimpse of what Winter Camp was like, made by one of our students.

Along with Winter Camp we also started outreach off with a bang at Richland, though sadly I have no pictures to show :( We had a club fair event for two days. Not only was it awesome to see students taking an interest and signing up to join or know more information, but it was so encouraging to see that the ones doing most the invitations and conversations were our students. They really came back with a new found love for ministry and community and were eager to show that to others. I ask that you guys pray for Richland as it continues to grow. Pray that these students may come willing and ready to change, encounter God and develop true friendships through our community.

Please take the time to read through our student testimony for the month!

  1. Thanks for sharing, Eddie. Winter Camp was such a blast! Those ideas you wrote about were most of the ones that stuck out to me, too. But you forgot, "Who told you that?"

    Love you bud!
